Best game of junior rugby I have seen in years. Standard on show up at St Cuthberts was simply awesome and Widnes did exceptionally well to come back from a physical battering in the opening encounters. Give Wigan their credit, their tackle technique is top drawer, although as the game wore on, the Widnes pack won the arm wrestle with some brilliant work. Added to this the backs really turned up the heat in the 2nd half and took their chances ruthlessly.

Huge pat on the back to Messers Harrison, O' Grady, Fozzard and Allen. These guys are exceptional at what they do and have produced a town squad that has bags of talent and character.

These kids will be knackered tomorrow, the signs of fatigue were evident after the game with many feeling ill !!!

PS. The Wigan crowd did not like the fact that they did not win the Cup !!

A moment to  be extremely proud of Widnes. Even more so with the recent goings on with the Senior teams.

I have watched the U11s over a number of years and Mr Harrison MBE and his staff have turned out some great sides.

A credit to the town.

A fantastic performance from every player, it was a real pleasure to watch.
The standard of rugby was at the highest level, things are looking bright for the future of rugby league in Widnes.
Well done to all players, coaches and family involved in last night exhibition of skill, power and committment.
