We have all said that we needed two props and a new centre.  I wonder if we can get this team on the park and playing consistently.

Yates
Gaskell
TKL
Hall
Penny
Thackaray
Webster
Gannon
Smith
Grayshon
Morrison
Fletcher
Bannister

Subs
Dodd
Duffy
Kavanagh
Pickersgill

It's certainly different to when Cullen arrived, there's also Flynn, Vark, Strong, Ostick (maybe) who would all come in and do a job.  I just hope this 'training together' thing will see a noticeable improvement on the field.

Which would suggest that unless Grayshon and Bannister are miracle workers, we're still not going to have enough grunt to dominate Fev.

I still think we will win though.

Don't jump the gun. The jury is still out on those two. Hopefully you're right though.

Good post. PC has done what a lot of fans wanted.  But training together!  I thought that always happened, as it is the only way to learn as a team.

The point is it SHOULD happen!

Yep looking much better as a pool of players, Pickersgill starting to show what he can do, as he was obviously very rusty after such a long lay off.  Grayshon should be much more up for it from day 1, so it will be interesting to see how they both go against the four powerful Fev props.

My sense is PC will want 3 forward subs against most sides in this division and I dont see Duffy as a forward sub (OK maybe for hooker). My sense therefore would be that Dodd will keep the fullback berth for a little while longer leaving Duffy as the back/hooker sub, with Varkulis joining the subs primarily as a 2nd row, but of course can cover centre.

Our injury worries seem centred around Duffy and Webster and it would be a shame if Webster missed out on Sat, just as the team was shaping up for him to take advantage, I am sure Duffy could cover the No. 7 spot, but if they were both missing then that would give us a headache (Thackeray at 7 and Hartley at 6 possibly)

Dodd has been our best player for the past month, so not sure how it makes sense to drop him. He's better than Yates at the moment anyway.

Duffy is a great option to have on the bench. The versatility of Dodd and Varkulis mean that we can go with Duffy as one interchange, and then 3 other forwards.

For my money you've got to have Paterson in there somewhere - he's a loose forward not a make-do loose forward.

Looks quite a strong side if they can start to get it together.

Fev at home is the perfect game for us at the moment. A tough side, but one we should beat on paper. If it does happen, it could be the start of some much-needed momentum.

Not counting on it happening...

I'd forgotten about Patterson.. think its because he was out for so long and I haven't been able to get to a game since his return

So that would change my team to...

Dodd
Gaskell
TKL
Hall
Penny
Thakeray
Webster
Pickersgill
Smith
Gannon
Bannister
Fletcher
Patterson

Morrison
Duffy
Varkulis
Grayshon

Would have Kavanagh as 18th man then

For me it would look something like this.

1 Yates
2 Flynn
3 TKL
4 Hall
5 Penny
6 Thackery
7 Webster
8 Gannon
9 Smith
10 Pickersgill
11 Fletcher
12 Morrison
13 Bannister

14 Duffy
15 Doran
16 Kavanagh
17 Varkulis

Not considered Grayshon as cant recall seeing him play so would not put him in until seeing him.
