For what its worth , Stanky made the mistake of publicly stating that he wanted the Widnes 1st team job , whilst he was caretaker. The club , had already stated they thought he was a bit to inexperienced at that time , so when then the new coach was appointed he was under no illusion that his newly acquired assisstant wanted his job.

Only ever one winner going to come from that scenario.

kev. I think we all sympathise with john.it seemed like a good idea to groom him as a future coach. But for various reasons it didn't work out. He was maybe naive in some of his comments but only because of his love of the club. Of course those who know him r upset. As john is  . It may be time to let the fans move on . . . As they have to. Leave john and his family to sort it out with the club. I'm sure he will get offers and he must stay in the game and learn from this.

Oh boo hoo, Kev's best bud has been replaced.

What do you want them to do, operate without the part time assistant coach they wanted while you get over them asking Stankevitch to drop down from full time Huh

Oh please, oh mighty one.

So what if Kev feels he should back Stanny up? FWIW I'll back him up too and the criticism he has had in some quarters hasn't been constructive it has been shocking. I think he deserves to be defended also seeing as he doesn't have an opportunity to do it himself - given his service to the club and the level of criticism that he's had.

I'd hazard a guess the same people saying that it was right in getting rid of Stanny will be saying that the appointment of PC was the wrong thing come the end of the season when we win galaxy all.

Believe you me, others at the club have got off lightly and they are still there, he should never have been allowed to leave.

And before you ask me to get over it KV, you don't need to worry about that.

I don't think Stankevitch should have been allowed to leave, but to criticise the club for appointing a replacement, as kev did, is a bit much. It's happened, there's nothing that can be done to change it, Stuart Wilkinson is the new assistant and he should be supported. Everyone's empathised with Stankevitch's situation, so there's no need to have to go over it in every thread related to a member of staff at the club.
