Albert Park Preseason training gets underway next Tuesday 23rd June 6:30pm at the Parklands club Chapel Lane.

Training will again be conducted by Head Coach Neil Mellor, Dave Laughton and Gary Cook. Training is then every Tues/Thrs at the same venue. The changing facilities have been completely rebuilt and are now superb and the drainage on the pitch has been improved for the new season.

Albert Park finished a very respectable 5th in NWC league Division 1 at its first attempt last season (with wins against the 2 promoted sides) so are likely to be the only Widnes side in this division next year (with Moorfields promotion and Farnworths likely relegation).

There are some good quality players in the squad but it is very small. Therefore the 'Bert' are looking to add as many players as possible to its squad for the forthcoming season. The plan is to continue the progression of the last 4 years and challange for a place in the Prem division next season.

New comers will be made very welcome with training always being tough but enjoyable and a good laugh.

For further info come along to one of the training sessions, send myself a message or log on to the Albert Park website and join the forum www.albertpark.org.uk

Regards

Good luck to the Albert next season. Like you say DLM, last year was a huge success for the club. just like the last few have been.

Your problem of squad size is common across the town, probably with the exception of St Maries.
