Actually Vic, Stevo for once said something quite witty in response......." you'll need a strong scalpel for that Barrie"

It's good to look back at the old quotations, but the point of the thread was for the forum picking up on the new gaffes , RL only.
Hence 'STICKY'

He may have been referring to that black padded bandage he used to wear on his arm when playing. It gave support to his elbow, which had been dislocated several times. He invented it and it is now sold to other sportsmen.

Virtually every week now Stevo talks about an attacking play 'dissecting' the two defenders.

I'm sure it was during a Championship game that Barrie Mac commented on the replay of a try being scored ...."he went through like a dog in the fog", made me laugh for ages.

Alex Murphy --- "this will put the pressure back on Great Britain, which they can ill-afford to do without."
And 3 from the greatest commentator, Eddie Waring -- "There's one minute sixty seconds to go." "And let's see where that move started. And it started from its origins"
And when Derek Smith had been penalised for thumping someone, as he was walking away right into view of the camera, Eddie said "And the whole lip reading viewers will know exactly what he thinks of the ref". While that one does not seem funny, Derek's Granny, Mrs Boyle, who lived in Moss Street [Moss Bank] had been deaf for years and took a dim view of bad language.
