After last weeks hammer blow at Wigan, Runcorn still have an outside chance of making the North West Play Off series.  Last game is at home against New Broughton this coming Saturday at the Pavillion with a 230 KO.  Support would be greatly appreciated, the side has taken great steps forward this season, and the future of rugby league is bright over the water, with several locals now showing up to voice their support at home games.

As said, support would be appreciated, and im sure we will finish off the season with a good win.

Leppo, stop hooker Lee Salisbury and big powerful Seb Rowe and you stop NB. Salisbury runs everything and will go on his own everytime he gets near the line (now who does that remind me of). Rowe came off the bench but was awesome in his tackling. However he comes at you at an angle. If you run straight towards him he is much less effective.

P.S. Chris F said could you get someone to break into their cars to repay the favour afforded two cars last week.

Runcorn avenged their loss earlier in the season with a 40-32 win at Pavillions yesterday. 28-10 up at HT, had a man dismissed (wrongly - the ref admitted his error) and at times clung on with hardly any possesion playing uphill in the 2nd half, but delighted with the victory!  Unfortunately we failed to make the playoff's but there has definetly been progress for the club this season, and is looking positive for 2010.

Thank to everyone involved at the club, and all players who put on the green and yellow this summer, it has has been very enjoyable!

If anyone is thinking of turning out next summer, give me or CJL a PM and we will keep in touch.....

Now...when does the NWC start again   Grin Grin
