Tough start that JB I thought that they were by far the best side in our division last year. They just got off to a bad start. Lets hope they do this year.

Tough as you say Saint.. but we always seem to start slow and peek at the back end of the season..the main thing is to stay in this Division, anything promotion wise would be a bonus....it will be a testing time for the Swans this season for a number of reasons.

Doesnt matter who we play the team spirit is top notch.  We have trained well as a group - well, with the numbers we have had.  The season will be a challenge as we have lost players again.  From our Division4 winning side a few years ago there cant be many left....but we will continue to develop lads who genuinely want to play rugby league!

All the best to all sides next season (apart from if you play against the Swans!)

Don't agree with that boz we battered them twice they didn't even score against us at there place even down that hill on there pitch i thought they just had a big pack but if your willing to put your body online then they will be no problem for the swan i thought leigh miners were the best team in our league last year and will be stronger again this year with a good bit of youth coming up!!

They should have been in Div 2 last season but decided to play in either the Cumbrian or Yorkshire league.  Woolston are a good side, especially when the Warrington Wizards finish their season

I think the Swans will struggle this year. Yet again we lost quality from the side to other clubs. I don't blame these other clubs, as they naturally want quality. Losing Kev Gamble, Leon Phillips and Luke Willings is a massive blow at the very least. However we shown last year that we can operate without the backbone of our original team, although we will continue to be thread bare at best.

I just hope some of the "players" that stand and watch very week, will dust their boots down to help out the team through what will be a very challenging year.

On the positive side, things will look brighter once we get Leon back on loan from Simmies after christmas .  Wink
