Leigh Miners beat Leigh East (and Gary Middlehurst) on Wednesday night and are unbeaten after their first couple of games!  Although Simmies made them look very ordinary on their own patch a couple of weeks back!!  Grin

Good luck to the Maries lads, no reason why you can't beat 'em!!

Agree there will be a good early benchmark after a very surprising result actually, cos I thought Easts showed more promise than Miners did against us even tho' both were soundly beaten, and they had Gary playing who didn't play against us whose an asset to any side!

About time the Maries won a game tho!  Roll Eyes  Wink

Out of historical interest, when was the last time these two sides played each other?
Obviously the Miners have been in the conference since it started and I know Simmies seem to play them on a regular basis but the Maries?
