My understanding is that an investigation is underway regarding an incident in the game, with that in mind we received a request from the Moorfield club to remove the thread to allow the investigation to be fair and balanced to both sides.
If this thread goes anywhere near discussing specific incidents in the game then it will also get removed.

Sounds pretty serious, police involved or something?

Watched the game as a neutral, and was quite surprised at the way the game was played myself, billed as a friendly was anything but! Not really what you want to be seeing only a couple of weeks before the season starts, would have been nice to see that sort of passion in the Widnes Cup at the end of last year from West Bank, let's see them try do that to Simmies or the Maries they'll come out short... At first thought it was just local lads matching up and that but WB carried it on and on and in particular there was a tackle in the 2nd half that was disgusting and deliberate judging by the barrage of abuse from the player responsible towards his 'victim' immediately after it, which continued once he was asked to leave the pitch. He was a lucky boy that it never connected as it looked like he meant to 'cos he would have caused serious damage and then wouldn't have been shouting his mouth off... believe me! The game just went downhill, it's ok WB being up for it and throwing four and five into every tackle but the slating and abuse that was going about...joke! And am being fair Moorfield did bite and tried to give a bit back but was odd individuals, not on the same level. Had to walk off not long after had took my lad up to watch but didn't want him seeing or hearing any of that!

Very much agree with that there minichiello. Good job there was a fun day going on behind on the cricket pitch, some of the parent's there took their children there to be away from what was happening.

Exactly what I did! Might have been the plan to up the takings for the kid's footy teams? On a serious note I hope the players involved and disciplined by the club's officials as I wouldn't like to hear of a Widnes team taking that sort of game out of town
