All about individual taste BarryJohn. I just think it was rushed, the songs were weak and they toured Permission To Land for far too long. Justin Hawkins said in an interview they had about 60 songs for One Way Ticket. If that's true, I wouldn't want to hear the stuff that didn't make the album. I think it was the difficult 2nd album syndrome. I love every track on Permission To Land and thought, when it came out, it would take something really special to top it. Got to admit though, never thought I would see them back together, especially with the original line-up.

Got to be honest I'm a bit disappointed they got back together... mainly because I preferred Dan Hawkins other project "The Stone Gods"

Stevie Jackson (From Belle & Sebastian) tonight at Manchester Club Academy.
Twin Sister on Sunday at Liverpool Mojo.
Cashier No. 9 next Wednesday at Manchester Deaf Institute.
Smashing Pumpkins next Friday at Manchester Apollo.
Thomas Dolby next Saturday at Liverpool Stanley Theatre.

Then William Fitzsimmons, Wire (twice), Carter USM and Fanfarlo during the rest of November - with Panda Bear, Jim Noir, The Lemonheads and Half Man Half Biscuit during December.

Cheers

Hopefully the Xfm Winter Wonderland!

With Chase & Status, Nero, Ed Sheeran, The Big Pink. And a few more.

By far the biggest piece of spangles, I have ever witnessed live.

I've just bought the Mrs and I tickets for Labrinth in Liverpool in feb 2012.  Haven't got a clue who he is but as its our FIFTEEN year anniversary on Valentines day I thought I'd make the effort for her.  I'll get hammered, she can enjoy the act.

It's not too bad. I think Metallica are playing Black Album all the way through, whereas when I went a number of years back they played Master of Puppets in its entirety. That was immense. also headlining were Guns and Roses (who I skipped to go see Prodigy in a tent) and Tool. That was a good festival.

No idiots either unlike Reading/Glasto etc

You should have been at the Manchester Appollo on the Master of Puppets tour, a couple of weeks before Cliff Burton died that was when Metallica were Metallica. Wink Cheesy
