Is this a quiz? What kind of points? Points on the scoreboard? Or points in the league table? Do you know the answer? Or are you just curious?

Correct Vic, it is points on the scoreboard / pitch.. and yes, I know the answer.... close with 61,000 Vic I obviously had to do some calculations for that one: 2009 - 1895 = 114 years: Say 530 points a season @ 30 games a season (say on average) = 18 points a game on average: 530 x 114= 60,420 and I rounded it up.

Dont forget that tries were only worth 3 points for X number of years during that time though, so I'd imagine games are a lot more high scoring now than they used to be

Minus the war years.
Also for the first few years in RL/NU it was rare to get over 200 pts - 31,000 off the top of my head without getting the calculator out.

I'll hazard a guess at 48,000.
Is Chris ever going to come back and tell us the correct answer ?

The correct answer is..... 56,530 .... Beano the nearest with 58,000 Points conceded = 48,789 .... giving overall points difference of +7,741
