Good few clips on there but still doesnt do him justice. This man was a genius with the ball in hand and his reading of the game was second to none!

Ged do you realise that your gonna have people agreeing with you for once Tony is by far the best stand off i have ever seen in my time of watching RL. I remember him kicking for Offiah direct from a scrum,( nothing strange you may think) buyt he was virtualy under his own sticks at the time. The man had vision , fineese, style and if he did not have injury problem, only god knows what he could of acheived. A true Legend

Reckon there is another 20 minutes to add on there easy of 1 second clips.
Hull KR 83 hat-trick and also against the Aussies in 1990 at Naughton Park he was magic.

And flashes of brilliance were commonplace --- just part of his game, One of the all time greats and would get in my best international teams ever.

That game vs Hull FC - Premiership final in red. . . . we always called that "The Tony Myler Final". I have never seen a player dominate a game so much. Gives you goose bumps doesn't? And not just him, but the whole way Widnes played and dominated the sport back then. Happy days indeed. And not being one eyed I much preferred our approach to that of the dominating Wigan team which by comparison worked so hard at winning. We were naturals. The only down side to Tony Myler is - why on earth did he kick in that game vs Australia at Old Trafford? The best "poacher" in the game steaming up inside him - surely he called for the ball??

Don't want to start an argument here because I loved Tony Myler too. But IMO Denis O'Neill was a better player than Tony. He was another player that never fullfilled his potential due to a catalogue of injuries. It wouldn't surprise me if Denis was the person that Tony aspired to become, if you what I mean.

I've always thought Denis O'Neill was a fantastic player too. Who could possibly forget his try at Widnes for Lancashire vs Yorkshire? He didn't live up to it though because of injuries. I would always have said Denis was fast and "Tony's only failing was he was slow"... but now I'm not so sure. Tony was quick of the mark that's for sure.

Not knocking Dennis O'Neil - he was a very good player. IMO the only one who came close to him was Kenny Gill. I think we only had him for one season - when we won the Championship - but was a stand off and half,.

We didn't even have him for the full season as he was stiff armed under the chin at one of the home games and lost a bit of gametime after that.
