i just thought it would be a good idea to see who they thought where legends of there amature clubs. i for one am a simmies player and all ever people go on about is the likes of chris middlehurst, john percival, frank malloy, and rob shone. i have never saw these great names play but when i started at the club it was the likes of lee ashton, peter grady, john bowles, kel mcgeiver, kev o neil and the latest was paul roberts. i could probally name many more but i will let others do that. i dont really know anyone elses club but ive being told that the maries legends are the likes of will tilleke and ian dawson.

selwyn you are correct about paul davies or dickie as he is better known,i got paul to sign on for widnes albion because a fella called hughie naughton said to me there was a good lad at simmies who packed in because he got mom then dumped in the reserves and packed in,so found out is phone number and rung so many times he gave in and came training with us,the best sighning the club ever did,
