That is extracting to urine completely...

If they get in ahead of us, or any other team in our divison, will not watch a Rugby League game again.

Why are the rules different for Toulouse than say Sheffield? What's the point of having slightly different criteria?

Wake up call for all those who think we're a shoo-in.

I can't see it happening myself, it will do if they decide to extend the SL to 16 clubs. Then you'll see us and Toulouse in. If they stay at 14 then we'll NOT get in, nor will they. The RFL will stay with what they have now because our attendances will let us down. Purely on arithmetic - they cannot guarantee that we will draw bigger crowds than Salford or Wakefield, the only real contenders for relegation. Neither London nor Crusaders will be relegated.

I think we would get better crowds, but I get more and more dismayed when I see attandances of less than 3000 at Widnes. There's 2 years to go to SL, will all these stay aways really come back? I'd like to say yes definitively but my head says no.

Just my thinking. That's why I'd urge everyone to stop giving the RFL ammunition against us. Be positive and be proactive. Let's stop the negative talk about the RFL, other clubs and The Championship and get out there and put bums on seats. We can make this competition work by shouting we're the best team and challenging the others to catch us. Every week can be a challenge. Take the spread into account and challenege the opposition to 'beat' it. Hey we won't win every game, but what the hell.

It's not about us being a shoo-in Oz. It's not about being negative of the RFL. This thread isnt about Widnes.

It's the fact that 10 of the Championship teams have to either win the NRC or reach the GF to apply for SL, yet Toulouse can do it anyway. How is that fair? What's the point?

Hey has anyone thought this through??

There's Toulouse isolated in the South of France, talking up the idea of Super League in the town. THen hey presto they lose 4 games and people start to question whether its possible, pulling out support and sponsorship.

So the RFL say, y'know what Toulouse, you can apply anyway. So the interest stays there for a year longer.

Now, think back to yoru own arguments about how Widnes were treated last time around. You continually argue that we should have been told that we could not apply. What would that have done to morale here? How much more support would we have lost?

This is an RFL ploy. I'm telling you, Toulouse will not get in unless theres a 16 team league. And I predict that there WILL be another vote on 16 teams before deciding who to let in. Widnes and Toulouse will be admitted and no-one will be whinging. You saw it here first!

Like I say, the alternative is neither of us will get in. All in or none in.

More Oz Rubbish.

Our ability to attract more fans than Salford and Harlequins is a no-brainer.

The Rugby league are out and out Liars.

They made a public statement last year that the Toulouse must satisfy the same on-field performance criteria as other championship sides, whilst at the same time

Toulouse have admitted they were told the opposite. " It was decided from the start" says Toulouse's Zaluendo.

I remember Richard Lewis in an interview some time back saying that a top 3 finish would be considered for a franchise... You can't believe a word that this corrupt organisation says.

You really are giving the RFL more credit than they deserve.

Toulouse dont want to be in the Championship. They want to be in SL. They wouldnt have come in to the Championship if SL wasn't guaranteed them. I would be extremely surprised if they arent in SL 2012. Likewise, the RFL arent going to keep funding Championship teams to fly back and to to France for another three years.

The league will be staying at 14, the clubs have voted on that. So our only hope is if two clubs get booted out.

Because the RFL know that Toulouse wont meet the criteria and therefore change the rules to allow them in.

An absolute disgrace! If I was SOC I would be making noise about having a clear criteria published...I can see this going to court when we're refused again!
