I thought you were joking, but just Googled him and it is the same bloke.

I'm not really into popular culture, I find it very tedious.

Its only from reading the newspapers and spotting Rugby League player, I assumed he was an Aussie initially as she is

See John Evans in town alot knocking about with all the bag heads.

Not suggesting he is one, by all accounts he is decent fella.

I played against John Hamilton and Liam Jones. (Didnt Liam play for us for a while) Liam was at Golbourne and was moved up an age group he was so good. John Hamilton was awesome at Blackbrook and a star. Think he went onto Wigan St pats, then Saints. Strange how players never progress.

John Evans most naturally gifted waste of talent ever to grace a rugby pitch in Widnes. Good lad shame about him off the field

Also that was pretty much the Widnes town team pack out of that lot. Hughes 8 Stankevitch 10 Evans 11 Percival 12 Yates 13. Cant rember who was hooker for the town team.

I think that lad on the team-sheet could be another Kris Smith!

The (Danni) Kris, numbered us in his pro clubs, and I recall that his amatuer team was Eccles. But at around the same time, I seem to remember that there was this other Kris Smith as well, and as this youngster's club is Cas, I would suggest (but I admit, I'm by no means sure) that he is not the one currently on the arm of the famous Antipodean female!

That is a good question that SP.  Undecided

I'd say either:

Keith Darlington or Chris Baxter? (They were either 7 or 9 for HH) Peter Goulding was town team as well wasn't he? Not sure what position he was though.

Played with John Evans at the Hornets and he was class - I think if you even ask the ones who made it if he was any good and they would agree - he ripped sides to shreds on most weeks and was a hard lad, he had every club sniffing after him. He turned out a couple of years ago for Moorfield, before that I don't think he'd played for years.

Find it hard to believe Chris Precy was a secind rower.

He was 11 though - Percy used to be up there every week in the top tackle count, nice lad as well.

I think you may be right Spelly, if, as you say the Kris Smith on the team sheet is the one who played at Cas, and Saints if I recall, then it is a different Smith tha'is with Danni Minogue, the lad who played at Cas and Saints certainly wasn't 6'4" either.

Maybe it's neither the lad who played for Cas or the one with Danni Minogue, but some other Kris Smith then?
