I wonder if it freezes on one side?? we look like we've got an old Trafford surface compared to that!

Reminds me of pitches in the 70's--on Grandstand with Uncle Eddie.  As a spectacle it does nothing for our game.

TBF to the players, they're making the best of it.

Don't be surprised if Dewsbury's is no better.

Keighley look a lot better than when they game to Widnes

Dire dire dire. I must admit I can't remember when I last sat through a whole Ch 1 game (apart from the Widnes games)

The pitch wasn't as bad as the Video Ref when he disallowed Batley's try on the 50th minute.
Worst Video Ref decision this season for me, apart from the one at Cas.

I personally am glad to see the old obstruction rules are being applied to the letter again.  The player with the ball ran behind the man going through therefore definately obstruction.  Referees have been to lenient on this especially in SL games.  If that were to continue we'd be into American football rules.

I agree, the dummy runner stopped the defence sliding across properly and created a hole that the try was scored through

I must have differently than the pair off you.
The player who passed the ball never ran behind any of his own players in any way shape or form.
As for the dummy runner he didn't stop any defenders sliding anywhere.
This sort of move has been in our game ever since I've been whatching & playing it & thats over 40 years.
When I was a kid in my playing days we called it a tizer off move.
I think you both need to watch it again & you'll see there was no obstruction at all.

I think you need to learn what an opinion is

The way I saw it the Batley man prevented the defender moving across with the same rhythm that he was before. It wasn't by a lot, but he was still hindered in moving across with the centre to plug the hole. It was a very difficult decision, and I was surprised Cummings called it, but it was the correct call I believe

I know what opinion is.
Thats why I suggested that you watch it again.
You will change you're opinion just watch it again please.
The Keighley player made no attempt to slide across he just carried on going forward and let the dummy runner go by.
The pass to the try scorer was a pass of about 10 metres which put into a gap a mile wide.

Tonights match shown "True Rugby" ha       cos it was heavy weather full of mud

the 2 sides of Rugby in a week,

at the stobart for fast flowing rugby with good facilites ( the future )

in the rain and mud for a slip and slide for an old school match with old facilities ( the past )

liked Big barry and Tez on brian carney's new show, funny and Jon Wilkin was good and honest with his answers
