I work in Wigan, they usually close one of the stands when the likes of Quins and Catalans come but they were selling tickets for £5 yesterday,it put 6,000 on the gate when they usually get 11-12,000 for this fixture.

With Shef and now Quinns, seems to be a Wigan 'blip'. Let's hope their downturn lasts a few weeks. I think we'll get 6,000 for this one, three thousand that we usually get, an extra 1,000 or so glory boys and a couple of thousand Wigan fans. Should be a good atmosphere at least - I just hope they don't blow us away early on to kill it.

I work with a bloke who stewards at the Piedome every home game even though he is a Saints fan, he told me that Wigan give out a 1000 free tickets to every home game. Most of these go to employees of Heinz and other local buiness' and schools.

Wigan will bring at least 3k. Anything less than 8k would be deemed as a failure for me. The marketing for this game ought to be massive.
Widnes have been all talk for years now. Unless we bring the fans through the gates and back up this fighting talk, then I don't think we deserve to be in SL.

Very good lads, I see you managed to pass you're sexual education classes as 10-year-olds. Takes one to know one, if we're lowering ourselves to insults that I last heard when I was starting high school.
Seriously. Constant arguments of our divine right to be in Super League. But if we have no potential to attract crowds around the 10k mark (if, say, we are top six side in SL), then how can we justify our inclusion in SL? Just because we want to be there?
Anything less than 5000 home supporters at the Wigan fixture and I'd be extremely embarrassed. In fact, any less than 5000 home supporters and I'll disagree our worth as a Super League club lying in wait. More than anything, I'll be sorry for Steve O'Connor.

When we played them in 2007 the attendance was 6006. Why do you expect a couple of thousand more Widnes fans are going to turn out for this one?

We will get more than normal turning up, but I don't expect 1,000's more.
The 'stay away fans' will have the excuse that Wigan will walk all over us.

When we have been in SL for three or more years you might just get 7k a week prior to that you are in cloud cuckoo land.
