I'd sooner us utilise the players we did in the hooking roll yesterday than sign  someone who has been released from a failing club. Govin has hardly set the division alight in recent years.

Thackery gives us great go forward from dummy half with hulme, gerrard and webbo sharing thr hooking role we've got adequate cover til Coyle returns at least.

I'd agree, if there is the possibility of us signing a good quality player on loan from a SL club (probably unlikely, but you never know) we'd be stupid not to go for it but no need to sign anyone just because they are available. Govin has always seem to be a bit of a nearly man. He has the odd good game but has had a lot of trouble with injuries in the past and never really stood out consistantly at this level.

If we did sign him, I'm sure he'd go ok, but you couldn't realistically see him being anything other than a short term deal to tide us over.
