So far this season I've been quite impressed with Mr Childs. Saturday will be the acid test though. I hope he doesn't do what Refs do when the lesser league teams play SL clubs & give them a helping hand.

It doesnt matter who is ref--they will get blamed for every decision that goes against us.
On the miracle front--if we win--the ref will be fantastic.

Child has been good in every game I've seen him Ref this season. But I bet you will get people on here blaming Child if Wigan stick 50 on us

I think it would be good fun to have Stuart Cummings as ref that would be fun.

Colin Morris. Nah I am gutted about this news, I was fully confident of a maruading Vikings victory until I clapped my eyes upon this.

I think the "problem" with Child is that once he picks up on something he seems to constantly look out for it and teams can appear to get on his bad side very quickly. I remember at the start of last season he made a big name for himself "ruining" several games with his authoritarian style. I thought he had a particularly bad game when he sent off Wildbore and we lost against Oldham in the cup last year. We had him later in the year though- may have been against Featherstone or Whitehaven and I thought we got the rub of the green that day. So he doesn't seem to particularly hate Widnes, more like he hates bad discipline and teams can end up getting players sent from the field or just generally penalised to hell if they are not carefull. Having said that though, IMO there is never any point in blaming the ref, you're never going to get him to change his mind. If we keep getting penalised on Saturday for similar offences the players will only have themselves to blame as we know now who is the ref and what he's like.

This will help us. Child blows up every 2 minutes, thus slowing the game down against the side top of Super League.
Oh sorry, was I suppose to say 'oh no not him we've got no chance'?
