It doesnt matter who is ref--they will get blamed for every decision that goes against us.

On the miracle front--if we win--the ref will be fantastic.

You're bang on there mate!

I'll be there to keep a (reasonably) unbiased view of the situation, both on the playing and the officials front as well!

Prior to the tie, I'm sure we'll be making a call at that chippy (can't remember its name) on the other side of Lowerhouse Lane.

6,000 attendance?

See you Saturday, and looking forward to it!

Spelly.

Who would you have liked?

I would like to avoid any ref with vowels in their names.  Wink

The truth is, when you find out who the ref is before any game there will always be a moan and a groan as if to say "We've lost already".

Every team will be hard pushed to find a ref who they really like reffing their games. If they do find one then it normally means they get the rub of the green when he normally refs and that will then mean he is biased.

Isn't Kirkpatrick a Wire and a Banker?

If that doesn't spell... I don't know what does!

One of the best ref's we had was N.ODDY Roll Eyes

He would make Child look like a top ref.

Going a bit further back, i'm sure a lot of people will remember Gerry Kershaw, i think it was him that was so bad when we played Leigh away, a lot of the Widnes fans went round the pitch just before the end of the match, and stood where he would go off, and were chanting his name. When he blew the final whistle, he got the stewards to escort him into the stand on the opposite side of the pitch, which was empty, and he stayed there until the stewards had got all the Widnes fans out of the ground!
