Saturday 8th May ko 2.30pm

Halton Simms Cross v Kells

Simmies, the current holders and who have never been beaten in his competition since it began 5 years ago, will be looking to bounce back from Monday's Widnes Cup final defeat by booking their place in another final this Saturday.

Thoughts & predictions anyone. The other semi-final is Rylands v Sharlston Rovers.

Looking at their results they have walked their league, and look a similar standard to Barrow Island after playing a close game against them.  Simmies by 14-18.

On another note what has happened to Rylands, weren't they pasting teams early on?

Kells do look to have won the Cumberland league quite easily (they require 1 point from their last game), but I don't believe it is a very strong league with the exception of Seaton, most of the other teams in the league are 2nd teams from Conference clubs.

I heard that most of Rylands better players joined Warrington Wizards once the chance of winning the league had gone.  Huh

Earlier on they played the lesser teams in the Prem ( no disrecpect )
although they beat Pilks at home early in the season they had not played
Simmies , Quay or St Cuthberts home or away till the second half of the season
as the results showed in the end
