Im getting in for free with my voucher booklet, but im buying a ticket on the door for a mate. Someone on the wigan forum said something about a woman at the widnes ticket office saying we had sold nearly all of our tickets, surely this isn't true even with a stand closed?

Hope not.  I've invited some friends from work along.  Hope I can get them in! Does anyone know?

Talk about scare mongering.

Not a chance that if you go down tonight you won't be able to get a ticket.

Even with a stand closed, there's still 11,000+ seats.

Looks like they have sold there allocation for the east stand, I am pretty sure you would be able to squeeze them in somewhere in the north or south as I can not see either stands being full. Don't Panic!  Grin

Why not try ringing the ticket office and asking them, or ring oneills and see what time they are open till + go down there and pick up for your mate - just a couple ideas :-)

Taken from our Official site.

Ticket Allocation

Vikings:  North & South Stands - (see below).

Warriors: East & West Stands - (on sale at DW Stadium only).

So all four Stands will be open for the first time in years.

West stand isn't opening, the east stand is sold out, but there aren't enough wigan fans for another stand so they're going in the north stand

Are tickets going to be on sale in the fitness suite reception?
Me & my wigan mate (who is, believe it or not, supporting Widnes) are coming down about 5pm.

If that is the case then surely they should of opened the West stand rather than the East as it is bigger?

Also saves packing away the museum.

Maybe this was always part of the plan. It's could be cheaper doing it this way. Let's face it there is little chance of us selling out the North and the South stands but they'll need to be fully open.

the reason the east stand is opened first is because it does not back onto a main road for fans exiting the ground,
