That's Really terrific news. Now Spain has a real RL team.

You really have to give credit to RLIF for the work they're doing on a limited buget.

its good & bad news depending on which way you want to look at it.

GOOD NEWS - that RL has finally broken into Spain, and thus bringing the game to potentially millions of new fans.

BAD NEWS - for our SL Application, whenever a new team is mentioned I start to get very, very nervous.

They are playing in the local Catalan league, hardly a threat to us.

We should organise a friendly against them in Feb next year to coincide with a weeks warm weather training for our players.

Early bird catches the worm so to speak,

Not sure if the club read this website as much nowadays though.

Why Barcelona before Birmingham, Ged?  If the RFL want to develop Rugby League, why not develop it in Britain?

It isn't the RFL making a club and putting them in Championship 1!

It's just the creation of a team in Barca.
