I saw the England Academy squad for the upcoming game v France and noticed not one Widnes player was in, now given the form of the under 18's especially after thrashing Leeds, it seems a bit unfair that not one player is in, yet for example Leeds have at least five players make it.

Who do you guys think would or should have been considered, Crowley, Gerard and Kelly ?

None even made the train on-squad from earlier in the year.

It is harsh and does seem to be the same old story at these levels. There are a lot of players selected though in that squad who are playing U'20s at Superleague level and higher in some cases.

Of the 5 Leeds players selected the prop Singleton and the backrower Stewart where the only two who played against us at the weekend.

Still weve seen it enough times when players arrive here from other clubs having a junior representative background and are no better than what we currently have so i wouldnt let it get the 18's lads heads down. Brett Robinson was a prime example I think of a player selected for club rather than talent.

Same story in the England team - Sinfield MUST be in, somewhere!  Not big enough for a forward nor quick enough for a back but h'e's in the team!
