So what! Do you really care what people like that say? Finals like this are the very best way to get people back watching Widnes again. Say we take 1'000 people who go to one game a year and 100 of those come back to watch us again, that's been a success.
I don't think anybody can name a spectator sport where any club has the same amount of regular support as those who follow them on cup final day. Wire sure as like won't get 20000 following them each week even if they had a bigger capacity. Not even Leeds do.

I'm going to the final and I've only been to two games this season. Mainly because it's a 500 mile round trip. However, when we are back in SL in 2012, I will definitely be attending more games!
It's hard to get enthused about some of the games in this division and be prepared to make the travelling. I think there are many other Widnes fans who feel the same. We're not glory hunters, just a bit selective with how we spend our hard earned dosh.
Being in SL will also be a great argument to put to the missus when I want to spend her shopping budget every now and then.
