Ok, Perhaps 40ft x 50ft was a little exaggerated but those ones at Anfield must be at LEAST 30ft square musn't they?
At least, however the best flags at Anfailed are not the huge ones!

Quite true, but as i said earlier, im not trying to put a downer on a great idea but whats the point of a small flag that nobody can see without having to look hard? Surely the idea is that it makes our players, and the opposition team and fans take notice? And perhaps gets the TV cameras looking at it? Unless its a great big thing like those mentioned, then its not going to do that...

My maths might be dodgy, but at the price quoted isn't that in excess of £6,000
The £30 a m2 was based on the flag being digitally printed based on the "complicated" design. Seeing as less than 25% of the flag is "complicated" the only part that needs to be digitally printed is the image - the rest is text. I'll be dropping her an email later on to explain the above and request a re-quote. I was rather annoyed to say the least when she came back with that. To be fair I was expecting something around £300 which if a few people contributed for the cost wouldn't have been as bad but anything substantially over that and I might need a re-think.

TBF though squire, as J20 rightly points out, they have numbers on their side. Woman in work is a Wigan lass, and her fella is a die hard fan, she reckons there must be a group of about 15 or so who came up with the idea one night in a boozer after an away match apparently. Got the odd one or two, then built upon it and have probably 10-15 with more to come. Not good praising anything pie related but those can't be knocked. The Wigan references too, ie George Formby, The Verve etc. Class

Still no joy I'm afraid in quoting for the Myler Flag. I reckon with the Football season there are massive orders before the next 2 weeks. I've got one flag sorted so perhaps it might be better to do this before the start of next season to see if there can be a bit more interest generated.

I think if we get the nod for a licence we will attract more fans. Then more people will be interested in a Flag. Can not wait for the decison to be honest.

Hopefully mate.
I've put my hand in my own pocket for one so hopefully when it gets a public viewing it will generate an interest in at least a couple more.
