the group i am on about were stood by the 20 metre line by the car park, widnes regulers but that doesn't give them the right to be abusive to not only officials but the players, will be thinking twicce about going a reserve game next time i go to watch and SUPPORT not abuse

Why are we surprised at this when this kind of thing goes on every Sunday in the amateur game?
From U7's onwards parents, and unfortunately coaches as well, feel that it is ok to insult the official or officials in charge. Clubs are frightened to warn parents on a regular basis for fear of losing players--sad but true.
There has been a RESPECT campaign in the game for a few seasons now--it needs to be adhered to as this problem will only get worse. Perhaps the club should have touchline managers as most amateur clubs do.

the problem is these were not parents of the players and should of rightly been removed, they were regulars and think they have a divine right to do what they want, but it's just not on putting the club down

But its no different at 1st team games and the clowns who dish this out are incapable of differentiating between an adult official or youth one. They need educating--probablly too late for some of them--and if they cannot watch a game without abusing officials then they should be ejected from the ground.

whitehaven had just scored yet another try, as the young linesman was jogging back to get in position for the kick off he quite clearly said to the whitehaven players,, ........................well done lads keep it up...............
did he mean that their discipline and behaviour during the game was very good or was he hoping they would score even more tries, to be honest i dont know what he meant by this statement, but the person he complained to the referee about obviously thought the latter !!!!!!
But the way he went about telling him was all wrong..
by the way , i try not to go on about refs too much but that one yesterday for the reseves match definately had a keen eye on us and a blind eye on them, not that it would have made much difference to the score had it been someone else, we were well outplayed.......

To be fair you hear quite alot of encouragement form the officials in the reserves and academy games so it certainly isnt an isolated occasion. We do have some muppetts who follow any side associated with the club though. On the whole a very strong Haven side but I cant see much in this reserve side to get excited about. Its quite clear to see that we have recruited what we could to get through this year having had so many move on from last year.
