Now at the end of this 2 year sentence to be given a further new identity at the cost of £1/4m.

as an employee in the criminal justice system and from talking to probation officers and others with knowledge I can assure Dawn that he won't be coming out for a long time. Ignore the 2 year sentence, its his licence that matters now, and he will not be considered for release for a long time. Its possible that if he doesn't sort his head out, he may never be released. All that shows is that sadly neither the punishment nor the rehabilitation of his original sentence have worked, and that is what should be concerning society.

Not according to the lawyers that was just speaking on the news. his 3 years was cut to 2 cos he pleaded guilty at the start and he will be able to apply for early release after one year.

"apply" being the key word. I can assure you he will not be granted parole for quite a long time. And the Judge at the trial stipulated that he
must
serve the full 2 years before he can be considered for parole.

hard to establish really, what is wrong, right, society, upbringing, mad or bad approach, so many things. I for one could live happily without politics and morality and get him 'wiped out' if it were allowed. and just forget all about him, and put it down to mother nature's mess up. the world now would be truly better without natures mistakes like him

Anyone want to say it or shall I?
OK.........Didn't someone from Austria who's name rhymes with Fitler, (you see the rugby connection there,) have similar ideas about nature's "mistakes?"

And no, I am in no way defending him. He should rot in jail for the rest of his life. Life = life end of....we could argue all night about the death penalty but let's not

thing is............... to keep a 'standard' prisoner inside it costs central government approx £57,000 per year.
To keep the likes of Huntley, Venables on 24 hour protection it costs millions per year where as a 9mm round to the police costs
12p
, would it not be easier to sort this the common sense way???
