? Good Luck?

Alléz France!

I wanted anybody but a drug-cheat to win it!

Do you reckon Chambers is "needled" about losing?

Will he finally get the "point" and disappear?

Dwain (Medal-less) Chambers!

I appreciate your stance on this Spelly, but...

Is there any point in Dwain Chambers being alive if he shouldn't be allowed another chance? Might sound a bit drastic, but when athletics is probably all he knew, it's not so easy to change his career. It's OK saying "well he shouldn't have done what he did", but everyone makes mistakes, and probably do deserve the chance to redeem themselves.

I'm sorry mate, but few if any things wind me up more than drugs in sport!

My stance on this may (probably does) sound harsh to some, but in my opinion, this guy shamed himself, shamed his sport, and shamed his nation, my nation!

I'm not kidding myself that he's alone in this, as it's (regtrettably) happened in RL as well, and that hurts / riles me even more!

I've said it before (many times) and I'll say it again, if the threat of a life ban was there, these low-lifes would think twice (at least) before injecting their bodies in an attempt to cheat!

I don't accept that Chambers (and others of the same ilk) made a mistake! Cheating is not a mistake!

You are right but it's a question of the harshness of the punishment.
Somebody taking a recreational drug eg. Gareth Hock - 2 year ban
Somebody who deliberately over a sustained period sets out to cheat and gain adavantage and money - 2 year ban
Chambers is a rich man - did he have to hand back his money which he gained by fraud - No
2 years is too much for Gareth Hock and way too little for Dwain Chambers - he still has the stamina and physique he built up with the aid of cheating - Should be Minimum 4 year ban probably more

unfortunately he has-----------done the crime and served his time-----------Yes he cheated but he was punished its not his fault that he was only given two years.
The guy has stuck around and knuckled down and the ban has done its job and helped to turn this guys life around. So maybe if you look on it in a differet light then the ban served its purpose.

Have to agree that there should be different bans for recreational drugs or prescribed medication containing banned substances ie Mr Hock think he was too harshly punished

See, i agree that all drugs cheats should not get sympathy, but i also have a different view than most.  Chambers took a performance enhancing drug, he was very wrong to do so but..... the pressure that is put on by the governing bodies is ridiculous!  Because he was the top British sprinter, role model to all, weight of nation on his shoulders he decided to take it to boost his chances.  Obviously it was never going to work and was always a bad idea, he served his time.  Now Gareth Hock, an England international, Wigan hero went out and took cocaine.  Totally different than a performance enhancing drug.  This guy had the world at his feet, doing the job most people who love to do and went out and acted like a chav and decided to "have a fun time"  I think Hock is worse than Chambers

Why this ''obvoisuly it was never going to work'' I guess especially in years gone by the vast majority of people got away with it.
He fully expected to get away with it , he took the risk cheated and got caught - he should have had to pay back all his prize mney before he was allowed to race again for starters and a percentage should now be being taken to fund the test program to catch other cheats.

I've never taken any recerational drug except alchohol never will.
Hock made a mistake - end of who doesn't make mistakes in their early twenties I made plenty and I never had the temptation's Hock had with the whole of Wigan fawning at his feet.
Should have been told he was stupid , banned for 3-6 months and told to spend the whole time going around schools telling the kids what a stupid thing he had done and how dangerous all drugs are.

Your joking right? 3-6 months for consently taking cocaine? When he has children looking up to him too?  A mistake is maybe trying it once then waking up and going 'that was worng' not going out every weekend and doing it

Totally agree mate!
Whos to say after the 3-6 month ban (or during for that matter) he wouldnt be out doing the same?
Ive never taken any recreational drugs (apart from alcohol, which may be as bad but thats for another debate!) but Im amazed by how openly people are doing cocaine now, so for a professional sportsman to knowingly indulge is absolutely scandalous for me
