A stupid decesion, but one Smithy makes regulary i'm afraid. There are certain times when you take the tap ie 4 points behind with a few minutes left.

But to snub the chance of a bonus point was madness.............

I still think its daft that we get worked up about a bonus point. Seems to have become an important thing over last couple of seasons. Especially since people thought it was a bad idea when it was introduced...

I lost all respect for him at that moment - the instruction went out - 2 points gets us the  1 point and takes us into the six...

Point is - now we are 7th which - lets be honest is a true reflection of our form over the year - sad but true...

Oh well, bad decisions all season? It cost us a point, but IMO the bonus point is stupid anyway.

If we don't make the play off's by one point but have a better GD then it was a really bad decision. If we miss out by more than one point then it means galaxy all.

It comes down to the whole season, not just one game/decision Fact.

Bad decision, but lets not be too harsh.

I can remember one game a couple of seasons back, may have been a playoff game, where the opposition looked for all the money in the world that they were going to score but Smithy chased back what looked like a hopless cause, but he somehow managed to tackle the player from behind and wrap him up to prevent him from putting the ball down. Pretty sure it was a close game and it really was a one in a million tackle.

If a player is just plain rubbish and they make mistake after mistake then fans are going to get annoyed, but Smithy is one of the few positives at the moment and I'm sure it was just a genuine misjudgment of the scoreline. Remember Ben Black's butter fingers in last years semi? That one error handed us the chance to win the NRC final, but doesn't stop him from being a good player. There's 60 points available in season and to make such a big deal over just 1 of those doesn't really tell the story of the whole season does it? We've not been good enough all season and for us to so upset about losing a bonus point is sad day.

How low have we sunk when we are desperate for a bonus point, to get us into a play off place, where we will get knocked out at the first hurdle? IMO
