I keep saying I want ganson as a ref at our games, and before anybody says it must be because of the dizzy blonde ;-) at least ganson gives penalties for high tackles and ball stealing - we could have had a good few decisions in our favour last night :-o

Ganson had a very poor game and come up with some shocking decisions.

Ganson was absoloutely dire tonight - I honestly believe that he put Ablett on report to keep the game even. An early bath would well and truly tipped it in Wigan's favour.

Ablett should've walked. He made deliberate contact to the head. In these situations the Video Ref should step in & advise the Ref what course of should be taken, or thr Ref should have 1 eye on the big screen & make the decision from what he saw. But I suppose that would not be allowed there isn't big screens at all games. But if they can go to for decisions on tries & such like I don't see they shouldn't use the technology when its there to make decisions about serious foul which this was. That challenge could have finished tomkins' season. What annoyed me again was Leeds had 2 men put on report but Wigan were the first to have a player sent to the bin. On a thread about last nights game I got told off by Rayvon(allbeit tongue in from him) for having a go the Ref for his inconsistancy on what he gave Fax penalties for but didn't give us penalties when they commited the same offence. He said that not everybody would agree with my rose tinted viewpoint. So I explained how it wasn't me being biased. the simple fact is I hate bad Refereeing no matter who is playing. It's my pet hate about this sport. It seems to be there are different sets of rules dependant on the class of the team or who the home side is. I'd like to see what would of happened if a Wigan player had that challenge somebody like Coley, he would have walked. We'll have to see what the RFL do with Ablett. Pickersgill got a big for his challenge at Sheffield ealier in the season. IMO Abletts was nearly as bad, so I think he should get a 3-4 match ban.

In Ganson's (possible) defence, he was 30 metres-ish from the incident, as it was a kick on the last tackle, and we on the box got a far better view (and replay) than he did!
My first reaction was "He's gotta go!" My second reaction was "He's defo gotta go!" But didn't Ganson put in on report, after consultation with the touch-judge, who'd have been more in line with the offence?
We know he can't "go to the screen" for a decision like that, but a word in his ear (รก la when Mozza was despatched after 12 seconds at the Piedome?) wouldn't have gone amiss!
I've no doubt Ablett will get a ban for his actions, and full credit to Sam Tomkins for dusting himself down, and getting on with it, almost as though nowt had happened!
Tomkins continues to impress me, and Pies have got an absolute jewel in him!
Spelly.

I've heard from a very good source that Wigan have to off load at least 6 players to come in line with next seasons salary cap. Can we have Ben Davies, Stefan Marsh & Shaun Ainscough please???
