The video referee (Mr.Cummins) had a word in the ear of the referee on Thursday night which got Sam Barlow sent off for running into the brawl at the end and throwing a punch. Theyvideo referee could have done that last night at Leeds. By the way, anyone else think that Ganson has put on a load of weight? If he was thirty metres from the incident, this might explain why.

I've heard from a very good source that Wigan have to off load at least 6 players to come in line with next seasons salary cap.
Can we have Ben Davies, Stefan Marsh & Shaun Ainscough please???
I would sooner have Deacon instead of Ainscough. At least we would then have someone to lead us round the park and he has a decent kicking game.

Heard a replay of Jack Deardens comments on the incident in commentary of the game.
"Not fit to be on the pitch!" he said of Ganson, amongst other things.
Spot on. Ganson had all the assistance he needed and he dose the cop-out option.
Let's hope he gets 'rested' for the remainder. I'd charge him with disrepute!

I did not see it on Sky, but watched it on the SL Show on BBC, which did show the incident (Ablett looked to be offside at the kick too) but they didnt show any replays at all, and I must say having just seen it once at full speed, its not really clear at all how bad the tackle was, so in defence of Ganson, I suspect that must have been his thinking too, obviously if its been replayed on the big screen, close up and in slow motion then it gives a much different view, but you have to accept that the ref will not "risk" a sending off if its not warranted.
Hopefully Ablett will get a decent ban anyway

On the SL Show, Robbie Paul said of Ganson "in Steve's defence,he was a distance away and never got a good view of the incident" If the referee can take advice off a touch judge, why cant he take advice off a video ref, who is a full SL referee???

Got to love McClennan though.... "good case" indeed
''We think we'll have a good case,'' McClennan told a press conference at the venue for Saturday's cup clash. ''We'll see what happens after that.''

He's got a three game ban.
It's on Sky Sports' web-site.
Link please somebody?
Thank you!

A three match ban eh? Which'll leave him clear to play at Wembley should Leeds get there!
Is a trio of games kicking his heels a fair punishment for what he did?
Personally, I reckon he's got off lightly!
Your opinions please!

Considering Haggerty got 4 matches for something similar he got off lightly, but by normal SL disciplinary standards, personally I wouldnt have been surprised if all he got was a stern telling off......

I think so too. Four matches would have been fair.
I wonder if the RFL Disciplinary panel was thinking that missing Wembley would have been too much of a punishment? If that was so, they ought be suspended themselves!

Not convinced it was that similar to Haggerty's, Tomkins did have the ball at some stage don't forget!
He's appealed, will get reduced to 2 I reckon.
