would agree, it does seem a little Interesting. But certainly wants to worry us Smiley

Again, i dont feel certian about the super league licenses and i feel if they give it toulouse over us and leigh (if they win a GF) it shows they dont want us and we may aswell give up.

Ah well, Lets see what happens. i think toulouse should be rejected again though, Catalans dont have the attendances so what makes people think the rfl can support toulouse too? Again, how Interesting 2011 will be ..

I don't think attendances are the main issue with Toulouse. Apart from the fact that they haven't earned the right to apply and including them would cause a lot of ill feeling amongst other clubs there is also the issue of a lack of good French players to fill two SL teams.

As the decision is announced in March (I think) next year, does that mean there are no boxes to be ticked next year with regards NRC, GF?

Surely there is nothing to stop any club from applying for a Licence for Super League.   Their problem is that unless they fulfill the criteria it SHOULD BE rejected out of hand.   Saying that this is the RFL.

The initial idea was that you had to play in GF / Win NRC to apply as in fairness they could get 20bids if didn't put them in so may as well save time and bother for other sides and make performance on the pitch still count for something at least!

Yes Aussies want good money and where is the english game going. The Rfl said they want more academies and british players in a team. They said want so many home grown players aswell. If we want to compete with the aussies, we need more fulltime british players. Wink

The RFL must surely be aware of this situation regarding Tolouse, so why dont they release a statement stating exactly what Tolouse need to do in order to put in a SL aplication. This would clear things up and stop all speculation (though this seems to have been started by the French themselves), or are the RFL still hedging their bets.

Yes but that was Toulouse as a Championship club... if they as muted resign from the Championship it opens up a can of worms and as many loopholes for their statements as the RFL would like!
