You dont get atmosphere from drawings, and since it will never be built it doesn't really matter!

A bit like a 13000 seater with 2500 in it maybe?

Yeah, but the Stobart is up and running, while Pinksville isn't!

I know our crowd at home can be rather uninspiring but come on, even if we all fell asleep we would still have a better atmosphere than the salford fans create at their place

Allows them to ''guarantee'' crowds of 12000 - 14000 in the new place when it's not clear to me even the fans they have will travel out to a retail park on the M60.

I don't think it will be a 20,000 stadium. A couple of months ago on Radio Manchester Salford's Cheif Exec said it was going to have a capacity of 12,000 which could be increased to 15,000 and then 20,000 when necessary. Personally I can't see it ever being necessary.
If you scroll down to November 2008 the new artist's impression bears no resemblance to the proposed "iconic" stadium which must have been in their SL bid.

Another signing for them, also approaching 30.... 3 year deal, are Salford trying to blag the franchise by signing these players long term, cant see Wild or Anderson doing much a couple of years down the line, last big paydays?

Just reading through various bits of various grounds and none of Cas, Wakey or Salford even have planning permission yet so if I was the RFL as we are now within 12 months of next set of licences 3 years on I’d make a statement saying sorry but none of your stadium plans will be considered for the next bids, they did to Leigh and if it wasn’t for pressure some of these clubs wouldn’t have even started to build!
Also can see as building prob won’t schedule to start until after july next year then… woops. You’ll never guess what’s happened Mr Lewis!
Any side staying up with no new ground i’d only give a year by year licence with someone else on standby if ground not well under construction by end of that season!

They just trying to tick all other boxes… this season will be the ‘bring through the youth’ season and next season the ‘have a push for top 8’!
A lot of people saying it’s good planning to save for two years then spend big one season, but again isn’t this what RFL are trying to sway away from?

If there's something to this and the Cas one, Wakey must be cacking it.

Brilliant quote from the first article:-
Quote
Bill Hinds, leader of Salford City Council said: "Rugby league is particularly close to the hearts of Salford people.
Bill Hinds eh? that would be B Hinds. How appropriate - "my
word
".
(Please, no smart alec say it should be W Hinds as that would spoil the point entirely and not be in keeping with the spirit of dissing anything to do with any other club)
