Warrington were bloody awesome yesterday, you don't see Leeds pasted very often (remember our 38-0 win at HQ in 1991 anyone?? Cheesy) so they deserved everything they got - Briers outstanding again, and congratulations to him on another LT -winning performance (yes I know Monaghan got it in 2009).

Can't wait to see us turn them over in the 2013 Challenge Cup semi final to end their 4 year winning streak!

I put the Leeds loss down to an almost complete absence of their choir and that moronic drummer !!!!!!!

On a more serious note it really does emphasise the massive step up that we will have to make if we are successful bidders, particularly in the forwards.  To throw a very young side in against either of those would be manslaughter.

Hopefully the club realises this and will recruit some harder nuts to support our young stars.  Credit to Tony Smith though, he has raised their game greatly since he took over - must be a very good man manager.

Even though i do not like Wire i have to admit they are a very good side.Briers,Monaghan,King,Mathers, hicks, and atkins are outstanding players. If take the halfbacks out, matt king and hicks they wont be the same team.A few of the players have only got a few yrs left, then the vikings take over. Cheesy I like to take the shine off the Wire result. Grin

The drum (and trumpeter) were there and from my position on the halfway line, the Leeds fans were way louder, even at 14-0 down.

Leeds were completely outclassed.

The worst result possible for me a Wire win and Briers wins the Lance Tod.

It goes against the grain to say  it, but the best team won comfortably.     We must make sure that we are not overpowered if/when we get back into the top tier.

Pains me to say it, but Warrington are a superb side as it stands, quality all over the park.  I didn't watch the game, nor do I intend to at any point, but it sounds as though it was one way traffic, throughout! FAO those who went/watched on the beeb, did the absence of Burgess and Peacock, have a telling impact on things??

FWIW, i think it will be a Saints - Goons GF!

The worst fighting I have ever seen inside Wembley.

At the Warrington end, top of the lower level in the corner.  Stewards must have escorted many out as there was loads of empty seats after the fracas
