Unlucky Mr Millward.
Leigh were obviously counting on him to change things around including improving their attendances but it just never happened.  I didn't see the match tonight or their NRC semi defeat by Batley but it seems that when they get a crucial match they bottle it.  I suppose by rights they should be in Championship 1 anyway.

"After we beat Barrow"  - I'm confident that we can but Chickens, Hatch and Don't Count spring to mind.  Roll Eyes

Maybe we should continue this thread after 4.45 pm on Sunday.

Sheffield will be beat the winners of Barrow v Widnes, I am fairly certain of it.

They played some awesome stuff. If they could actually finish off some of their attacks, I would tip them as dark horses for a GF spot

The format of the play-offs make it very difficult for a team outside the top 2 to get to the final.

You would have to fancy a Featherstone V Halifax final

I thought Sheffield made loads of errors tonight, some good play but both sides made a high number of mistakes.  At home with the correct gameplan I think we could beat them no problem.

Especially if any tries Sheffield score are more than 5 yards from the post, as Brown didn't look a very good goalkicker.

Unless they give the goalkicking duties back to Stringer, he kicked 4 out of 6 when we played them away.

The whole game was riddled with errors, many of them from Mr Hicks!

Not a particularly good advert for the game at Championship level.

Really? I thought Mr Hicks had a near perfect game and it was a great advert for rugby at our level.  Just shows how people see things differently?  Cheesy

We've beaten Sheffield twice and Barrow three times, don't see any reason we shouldn't repeat those wins.

If is a small word with a big meaning. I will think about getting a ticket for the 12th on Sunday evening!

I seem to remember us being over confident when we unexpectedly landed a home tie against Fev last year.

Though Hicks had a fairly good game and only probably missed three things towards the end of the game.

As for us we have a big game on Sunday which won't be easy despite them not playing well at the moment.
