email responses?
«

Anyone having problems getting a reply to emails to the Club?
Using the same address as usual but nothing back to an email sent twice now? Bit unusual, as normally very efficient?

Could I suggest that you ring the club and discuss the content of your e-mail.

The reason I haven't rung but have emailed Sunny is that during the working week I am not available between office hours. My emails have been sent at a time convenient to me. If I haven't yet recieved a reply by the time I am on leave in 10 days time I will indeed ring them, or even call in. However my patience will be lessened and I am afraid my request may not be what it is now.

Why should we have to call? If they are unable to reply to emails then why bother having an email address to contact them on?

I have had the same problem, Email sent to the club about 2 weeks ago and no reply.
If the E-mail has been having problems for so long then why not sort it out, Getting a new email addie is not exactly rocket science.
For my part, even if the club answered my Email it would be too late.

Call into the shop. Ring the shop. See if they can help or give you an alternative method of contact. Open at weekends aren't they?
Either way, I don't think we should be getting angry at the club. I get many e-mails at work and at home but don't have time to look at them in detail as soon as I get them or if I do I don't always get a chance to respond to them immediately. Then when I do get a chance to respond I have another set of e-mails that need responding to. Aaaargh. It's called being human. Sometimes e-mails need to be sent again as a gentle reminder.
I would imagine the people in this thread who have sent an e-mail are just a minority representation of the volume of e-mails that the club receives.

I don't live local.
I don't pass the club or the shop during opening hours.
I don't come to Widnes at weekends unless for a match.
I am not angry at the club - I have said my patience may have run out by the time I get a response
It is a business. It shouldn't offer a contact method and then ignore it.
I maybe a fan and want only to see the positives (which I do 95% of the time) but I am still a customer of the Club.

But like I said, why can't you call them at the weekends?
Do you KNOW they have ignored your e-mail?
Just send them the e-mail again.
Going back to my work scenario I sometimes get told to deal with something I know nothing about. "Haven't you read you e-mails?" I get asked. I go back and look again and sometimes see that I have missed one due to what I said earlier. Sometimes, I just don't get it for whatever reason.
Before we had e-mail, we still had phones, snail mail and transport.

I have called at a weekend to be told the person I need to speak to is back in on Monday.
I haven't said that it has been ignored.
For that reason I gave 3 or 4 days before I re-sent the same email, incase somebody needed to get an answer to my query.
I have dealt with a hectic work inbox, receiving sometimes upto 180 a day. But I have managed them, acknowledged initially if not able to fully respond, and made time in my working week to ensure things were "in hand" before leaving for the weekend, as well as dealing with my job.
Blimey, I asked a simple question...............
