Now been released he has failed his B test and wil have to visit the RFL for  a "chat"
He has brought shame on himself, his club and also the game we all love!
Should be banned for life, He knowingly chose to take recreational drugs being a professional sportsman so deserves it!
There are many who have strived for years to make it in this game and never get the break, then people like him who are undoubtedly a great talent waste their chance in life!!
Then there are the  "do gooders" that say we should support these young lads and help them!!! THEY'RE MEN THEY SHOULDNT NEED TELLING RIGHT OR WRONG

Alcohol is a recreational drug (although a legal one).
Gareth Hock made a mistake and should be banned.
But plenty of Professional Sportsmen take recreational drugs Alcohol, Nicotene, Caffeine.
He is daft not bad.

As I have said before their should be a differenciation between performance enhancing drugs taken by cheats who should be banned or life
and recreational drugs taken daft lads like Gareth Hock who should not.

Should that not use the term "illegal drugs", at the end of the day, thats what he's taken, not just something thats classed as recreational like alcohol, but something that is illegal.

Illegal or not its still recreational in that it doesn't improve performance. He isn't a cheat because he took an illegal drug. He would only be a cheat if he a took a performance enhancing drug.

I think you are splitting hairs!
He failed a drugs test and rules are in place. Therefore he should rightly expect a two year ban.

Mind you, he does play for Wigan......
