Is anyone else of the thinking that the new home kit should be a bit more traditional?

For the past ten seasons, since our return to the top flight, I have craved a black and White, hooped kit.  Instead, we have been given some truly cheap looking shirts, year after year.

Fingers crossed that this year will mark a return to tradition.  Maybe black and white shirt similar to that worn by Hull FC year on year?

Does your age determine what you consider to be traditional?

I'm 37 and consider our colours to be predominantly white with black trim, I don't associate us with hoops in the slightest.  If I was shown a de-badged shirt in black and white hoops, my first though would be Hull FC

Can I clear up the fact that my use of the word, tradition, referred to 'original' Widnes kits.  Sorry for the confusion.
Ps.  I am 33, yet i would still like to see a return to the original hoops.

My only concern as to how a "traditional" style shirt would look with the plethora of sponsors we have at present on the shirt... 10 or 11 is it?

Although Hull's doesn't look too bad with sponsors on, they don't have as many as us.

As FlyingPig intimates, I just want something that looks classy.

Why on earth would you want a shirt that looks like that of another team? Predominantly white with some black trim please. That's been the tradition in my 25 years of watching.

One thing we need to change is the use of white shorts with a mainly white shirt, like we had last year. Just looks wrong and rather like an old PE kit from my schooldays. Black shorts with black and white evenly hooped socks looks way better.

Bloody hell, will people please stop misinterpreting me.  I said I would like a return to the 'traditional' strip and have since explained this refers to the original design of Widnes Rugby League Clubs kit of hoops.  I gave the Hull kit as an example igneous and posted pics of 'The Chemics' in bygone years.  Is this not clear guys?

I didn't say I wanted about like That of Hull FC, I said I wanted a 'traditional' kit similar to the original Chemical kit, which is black and white hoops, like Hull FC.

I think when you go for a bit of an 'experimental' design it makes the most sense to have the other kit as a more traditional' looking shirt that way you should please everyone (well not on here but you know). If you do both ideas can be a bit if a mess. For example Wigan tried to experiment with both & negative reaction whereas Leigh have two pretty standard kits that are seen as a tad boring!
