According to the RFL website, the revised Under 16s fixtures are :-
30th April Huddersfield (away)
7th May Warrington (home)
14th May St Helens (away)
21st May Salford (away)
4th June Wigan (home)
11th June Featherstone (home)

Anybody know where the 'home' fixtures will be played?

Not quite correct.

Only the first three games of the season of the Academy will be there and I think its the same for the other teams.  The Wids will then be available

I think this is something which the club needs to clarify :

The Wids season finishes the first weekend in May, after which no matches can be played because the players are not insured.

Not quite sure what you are getting at.   Huh

The RFL insure our players.

Sorry John, reading it back you're quite right, it's me who needs to clarify!  Roll Eyes

No union games will take place after the first weekend in May as the RFU insurance will not cover after that date, therefore I think the Wids should be available to us as a venue.

Apologies for the confusion!

That's ok but (perhaps its me) I still dont understand your concern with the RFU insurance.  The only reason we are playing at New Brighton is because of the fixture backlog at the Wids otherwise we would be playing at the Wids from April.  It wasnt a concern last season, why should it be now?

Sorry John, I didn't realise that there was a fixture backlog at the Wids. This seems quite exceptional to me assuming it's to do with the snow / low temperatures in December, as we've had the same situation for the last two or three seasons and prevously (to my knowledge) the RFU has insisted that the missed fixtures were filtered in between the remaining fixtures and so the season finished on time.

Have the Brighton arrangements been announced officially? If so, I haven't heard anything "official"(apologies if that sounds sarcastic - it isn't meant to be, it's a genuine question). I don't want to turn up at the wrong place!

Doh!!!  Shocked

Cheers John, been away recently and missed that!  That does indeed help, as the only paperwork I've had so far didn't mention this ...

New Brighton's ground can be a bit of a drag to get to (city traffic and the tunnel) but it's not a bad setup and I seem to remember a decent pint of guest ale from the bar  Smiley

Hope the lads do well there, it's not a bad pitch to play on

This New Brighton connection is trying to get new Widnes fans, and rugby league played in schools in the area?

Would presume so Ratboy, James Graham being the obvious example of scouse potential
