You would think that Fax would be spending the money setting up an Academy system but it's up to them I suppose.

I am not sure about warm weather training or if it has a more negative effect? I dont remember a good season start after warm weather training, an salford will vouch for it not having a positive effect especially in florida?

Times are hard and it cant be cheap to send say 30 players and 10 staff abroad for a week, hire of local training facilities, food and transport etc.  Leeds have got the right idea with their pre-season whilst forcing teamwork/bonding on the players to complete the tasks.

Getting back to the thread, i know for a fact that the fax players had to pay for the trip themselves!!!  There is ,according to my extremely reliable insider at fax there is still a big drinking culture there. Long may that continue imo.

Given the fact that year on year the season gets put back a week and now kicks off early February then why not send our boys cold weather training in the Arctic Circle next Winter where its -20. Anything warmer than that when they return and its a bonus. Just a thought...  Cheesy

*Edit the spelling mistake "cold" in lieu of "called"! Roll Eyes

The attendance of 1968 at yesterday's Halifax v Batley game was very disappointing compared with the crowd for the last meeting between the two clubs.  Whatever happened to the missing 2827?  Did they ever exist?
