We don't have (nor have we had for some time  Sad Embarrassed) the luxury of a second string, but it seems odd to me for two teams to play on the same day at different locations, even if one is (and I mean this with the utmost respect) the youngsters.

I realise the first team game is on Thursday coz of the box, so could the academy match have been switched, or as Huddesfield are the hosts, do they call the shots for when it's played?

Enlighten me please mes amis!

Spelly.

Good point.

This game was originally scheduled for Saturday with a 2pm ko and then brought forward to Thursday evening which means coping with M62 rush hour traffic.

Would have appreciated it staying on Saturday--they were obviously concerned that many of the players would have been celebrating the Royal Wedding   Grin

Pity they are not the 'warm up act' for the main game as Widnes people are getting little chance to see the Academy in action
