Despite Widnes wanting Mark , he choose St Helens. Widnes in championship and Sts in SL its a no brainer for the kid. By the way Mark has the potential to go all the way. Could without doubt end up the best player out of 4 superbly talented and really nice young men and a father who could play a bit back in the day.

for a club in a lower division to keep and bring on the youth that we have is some achievment, you will always get players going to super league clubs with more money and the promises they offer.

he played well when we afforded him the space out wide, and to be fair took full advantage.However I have to agree with vikingminer the last try was never in a million years grounded , I was yards away and got the same view as the blind linesman , it was grounded on one of his own players and then lost . But to be fair we was our own worse enemy- ball in hand with 4 tackles left and a minute on the clock - they shouldnt of had a sniff of the ball Sad and if you get the chance to watch the game again 4 out of the six tries they scored came from us coffing up posession in our own half, with just a couple of tackles gone in the set.It was still a great effort from the boys

We do now.

Lawton, Brown, Atkin, Hughes, Gilmore, Owens, Whitty, Wainright, Butterworth, Ball, O'Brien, Teague, Buck. The three lads that play for St Helens Clare, Speakman and Percival left Widnes Scholarship after the club went into Administration.

Maybe you should get your facts straight and wind your neck in.

As has been said. You can't have everything.

Considering the club is still in effect a championship club and has been for god knows how long, the academy is in pretty good shape and in good hands.  Before yesterday, when was the last time the academy were beaten?

There are many players who escape the net at other SL clubs and this won't be the last.

In response to the question;
Who are the four young men?

Chris Percival, Neil Percival, Dave Percival & Mark Percival.

All excellent rugby league players.

Ps.  As was John Percival, their dad.
