It depends on what exactly was wrong with his knee. At least he has age and health on his side.

I wouldn't worry about long term implications etc. I've heard its more of an exploritory op to see whats going on with his knee rather than anything to serious. They'll probably just have to flush it out and away you go. Obviously if they find anything serious when they have a look at it, things may change but talk of not coming back the same is a bit premature at this stage.

When you look and hear about the number of recosntructions, knees, shoulders etc in the NRL it makes us sound like cissies! Lachlin Coote for instance had a double hernia op this season and is back playing!!! Crazy!
Quite how mad you have to be to take part in a sport (or watch it?) that takes such a toll on young athletes makes me wonder!
