Former Wigan Warriors star Martin Aspinwall has been jailed - after crashing his car in a high speed police chase. It happened in January of this year when police were called out to a pub he was at in Ince. They followed him along Belle Green lane where Aspinwall was said to be driving at speeds of anywhere beteen 50 and 90mph. He finally lost control of the car and crashed into a kerb. Aspinwall - who is 29 and lives in Ince - pleaded guilty to dangerous driving at Liverpool Crown Court last month. He's been jailed for 4 months and banned from driving for two years. Just four months ago Aspinwall was handed a suspended sentence for attacking a friend and breaking his jaw in a bar brawl. http://www.wishfm.net/news?id=30641 |

Not that I in anyway agree with his acts but it does show that rugby players are quite low on the income scale I doubt that any premiership footballer would have been so heavily punished . As they would be able to hire one of those over paid gentlemen who twist the laws of the land to suit themselves and there wealthy clients , such is life .

Bearing in mind he had a suspended sentence hanging over him, has he been all that harshly treated? I don't know the standard penalty but if he has attempted to evade the police going at 90mph he was hardly likely to get away with a slap on the wrist.

Is that wrong or has he bulked up? Last time I saw him, he was a little boy on the wing.

He's not the only SL player to have lost his license in the last month for this. Other being one who fell asleep at the wheel in the middle of the road.

Is that wrong or has he bulked up? Last time I saw him, he was a little boy on the wing.
