Swans won 34-12

Top effort from the two teams playing in the heat Sat...Swans ended  a 5 game winning run for Conwy Celts...Swans pre season training must be paying off we expected we would drop off the pace in the 2nd half but we just kept going well done all.

Went to watch this yesterday, was an excellent game to watch played in the spirit of the game (unlike the football next door who had their handbags out ha). Both sides played well considering the heat and the state of the pitch! God knows why anybody would want to move to summer rugby- it seems ridiculous playing week in week out on pitches like that. It's asking for trouble. The swans seemed like a very young team with a number of players to look out for in the future. Also, the score could have been a lot higher had the swans winger took his chances.

Have to agree wiith your views on summer rugby some of our lads were complaining of skinned knees and elbows after the game...Not the Parklands fault its just summer rugby..have to say big thanks to Reg for the use of the pitch and after game hospitality.

It looked dangerous at times just can't see why amateur clubs would want to play in summer without getting the pitch watered! Not sure what the swans plans are but I'd vote for winter rugby every time based on yesterday. Yes would agree with the choice for mom organised the team well and seemed like an experienced head on young shoulders with an excellent pair of hands. Thought number 9 and 13 were the standout players for Conwy.

Swans are definatly staying with the winter game never been any doubt about that..what amuses me is that if the pitch was frozen we would call it off but because the suns out we play on it but its just as hard...and before anyone comes in with its ok in Aus, some parts of Aus get more rain then we do.
our No 6 as been around from day one when we kicked off 8 seasons ago but we have not seen anything of him for the last 3 seasons because of his job but hes back now and loving it and gaging to go.

Conwy had some top players and they went well, but they are all from rugby union clubs and play there rugby league games against players who also only play rugby union....they were saying that our game was a lot tougher and faster.. good gang of lads and they stuck with us down the Snig for sometime...No 7 was there mom.

I asked them if they would like to enter a team in the NWC ...Swans A team maybe  Grin Grin Grin
But they were saying they now all go back to there Rugby union clubs for pre season training and hope to see us next season.

best of luck to them and we wish them well

He probably kept it quiet so tizer taking bounties like you wouldnt come and abuse him. As for positions , all good players can play in a number of positions( he did have a good game at 6) , I seem to remember you pulling off a game saving tackle from fullback a few years ago. Wink

Ah those were the days, a lazy word prop too knackered to rejoin the line making a try saving tackle and pretending he meant to be in that position all along  Grin
