Personally I think he's a lot safer than Penny and he's a top goal kicker too! Also got a good try scoring record at SL level

Bradford board aren't very complimentary of him which is to be expected, played at representative level and can play a variety of positions.

Has played all over the backline for Bradford this year, so his versatility would be a strength, but looking on the SL stats website, he gives away nearly 1 penalty a game, makes on average 1.5 errors a game and misses 1 out of every 5 tackles.

But to be fair to him, his goal kicking is near to 80% and is high up on the metre maker list for his position(s), also 8 SL tries in a pretty ordinary Bradford team isn't too bad I suppose.

Maybe I'm trying to make an argument that isn't really there but he hasn't really impressed me when I've seen him this year, but at the same time I don't want to sound like I'm mars-barring off a potential new signing as I've actually seen him do some really good things.

He's young (about 3/4 years younger than I thought he was) so still has time to improve.

If we get him then hopefully he can further develop.

He must have had a major falling out at Bradford. Can't think of any other reason why they would release him.

Described as lazy and not interested on the Bradford RLFans site. There is also an offer from one to drive him to Widnes to get shut of him.  This is coming from people who watch him every week.  According to them he was ok at the beginning of the year but hasn't bothered his word recently.

That could go for most of their team.  We will be a better side than Bradford in three years.  They are on s massive slide to oblivion.  No money, no stars, no hope.  Gone are their glory days.

Think one reason was to get a quota spot for Sammat... Which they now don't need  Roll Eyes

As someone put above thought he looked good at the start but then not heard a lot of good reports!

Maybe has talent like Ben Cross, but if face does not fit your confidence and effort goes away.

The Sammut signing will have sealed it for Ah Van leaving.  Also, Herbert looks to be getting on his bike.  Another one not worth going near IMO.
