Following their 46-30 victory over Halifax at the weekend, Widnes Vikings Reserves team have now completed the 18 weekly rounds of the U23s Championship and finished in pole position on the table.

Well done to all concerned.  Hope you now go on to win the Grand Final.

Here is the current League table.   I can't see that there will be any changes to the placing of the top six teams.   So the Vikings will play Oldham, the only team to beat them, on the weekend of the 10th/11th September.

IIRC wasn't that the game when we were drawing when Grant Gore, for some reason, tried a chip or something, close to our line resulting in a try for Oldham.

Their side was quite a bit bigger that ours, man for man.

Hope that Adam Lawton is fit - we certainly look stronger with him in the side.

Left the Academy game on Saturday on crutches.  Possibly a reocurrence of his metatarsal injury which kept him out this season for 2 months.

When fit I think we can all see Adam moving up quickly.  He really is a talented player and has the size to back it up.

Great days to come next year!!!! Grin
