Trust in Widnes are considering setting up a community and club brass band with a working name of 'Vikings Band Together'

However, we need to find out if there are sufficient people out there who would like to become a member.  You don't have to be a hardened supporter, merely someone who has always wanted to learn to play an instrument and join in with others to enjoy the experience of becoming a band member.

If there are enough volunteers we will provide the instruments, the tuition, and a place to meet and practice......  All we would need from you is your time and commitment.

If you are interested (or know someone who is) then please send a PM to 'lerco' for more details

I really hope you get this off the ground, there is nothing more uplifting than the music of a brass band!

I agree LL, there's always moans on this forum about the drummer(s), perhaps a proper band would be more accepted by the majority?

Anyone know where Barry the Bugler is these days?

I used to play the french horn but that was many moons ago, but I may well look at learning a new instrument should be good fun (for me not the neighbours though!)

Great idea! But please don't play during the game. The Leeds band does my head in
