The away trip at the end of March. What are everyone's plans? Where is the cheapest place to stay, stay in France or Spain?
Anyone share any good bargains they've spotted for flights, hotels and transfers.....

Gutted that we play them so early in the season so I'm going to give it a miss and hope we get a june-august fixture in 2013 or 14.I think I'll use the cash I was going to use for Catalan to get to the majority of our away games and Manchester Magic.

I am looking at doing the Lipool-Carc flight on the Thursday. Train to Toulouse, hopefully one night there. And then onto Perpignan, via Narbonne possibly. Not sur about coming back, maybe a day in Barcelona!

found flights to girona for 95.98 with just hold luggage or u can pay 30 quid for a bag on top..leaving friday afternoon, returning sunday afternoon, accomodation based on 4 sharing 22 quid each for 2 nights and theres a bus service which takes you from girona to perpignan town centre in 1 hour 10 mins costing about 20 euro return. The ground is less than 2 mile from here. So thats approx £135 quid for flights/accom/transfers for 2 nights..not bad

Flying to Gerona, staying in Lloret! Saving on beer & food compared to France will pay for the car!

There's regular coaches and trains. They're buidling a TGV line which opens next year and does the whole trip in 50 minutes, but for now you have to change trains at Figueras because French & Spanish trains use different width tracks. Or it's motorway all the way if you hire a car.
Quite pleased with the timing of it - it's first weekend of school easter holiday, which makes it a bit more expensive, but means we can make a proper holiday of it.
Similarly, if you fly to Carcassonne, there's plenty of trains and buses that will take you directly there. Beautiful part of France with stacks to do. Nimes, Montpellier, Rodez, Toulouse are other airport options within a couple of hours drive.
